How do you choose AI training for leadership?
By what leaders will do differently afterwards, not by the curriculum. It’s worth asking whether the program uses the company’s real material, separates the board from managers, covers governance and security, builds something during the training and how results will be measured.
A curriculum is easy to compare and says little. Two programs with the same topics can have opposite effects: one ends in applause, the other changes how the board prepares a meeting or reads a report the following week.
Before hiring, ask each provider for concrete answers:
- What company material the program will work with, and how it gets prepared.
- What the board and managers learn differently, since their roles are different.
- How the program handles data security and usage rules.
- What gets built during the training, and who maintains it afterwards.
- How results will be observed, and from what starting point.
- Who leads the program, and whether that person uses AI in their own work.
Be wary of a percentage return promised before any diagnosis, and of programs that teach a single tool.
The guide How to choose an AI training provider for leadership explains each question and the signs that a program is genuinely practical. For after the program, see how to measure the results of AI training.
